DLC supports her monthly!

Hello, Family and Friends!

I normally send out my newsletter monthly, but this past season has been incredibly busy as I navigated ministry in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and Barbados. I apologize for the delay, but I’m excited to share a glimpse of my journey in these two beautiful nations. Before diving into the newsletter, I’d like to take a moment to share a message from Chryssy and Darrin, the founders of Deaf House Barbados, about their experience while I was with them:

"Kevi’s service to the Deaf community exceeded all of my expectations. She truly went above and beyond, stepping into a leadership role, guiding, encouraging, and training the team to become Deaf leaders themselves.

She also inspired Darrin and me by consistently offering valuable feedback on how we could strengthen our relationship with the Deaf community and make Deaf House even better.

Her impact on our community has been immense—so much so that everyone kept asking when she would return. Many felt as if Deaf House would not be the same without her presence.

I’m incredibly grateful for everything she’s done, from designing graphics and teaching others how to create them, to writing scripts, editing videos, and mentoring the team. Her leadership has been invaluable.

While I wish she could stay forever, I know God has bigger plans for her. Words can’t capture the depth of her influence on both the Deaf and Hearing communities. - Chryssy & Darrin“

It’s not just me; I thank God for using all of you to be a part of this journey to make an impact in Barbados. I was reminded of 2 Corinthians 9:10-11, which says, “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us, your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."

This verse encourages me because it reminds us that God is the ultimate provider of all resources, both spiritual and physical. As He supplies and multiplies what we have, we can pour into others, making a lasting impact for His Kingdom. I chose this scripture to remind us that the seeds we sow—whether through prayer, financial support, or words of encouragement—are multiplied by God to produce an even greater harvest of righteousness. You are a vital part of this mission, and together, we are seeing the fruit of what God is doing in Brazil, Barbados, and beyondThe best place to include the prayer request section would be at the end of your email, just before your sign-off. This placement encourages readers to reflect on your update and then engage with the specific areas of prayer, keeping the focus on your ministry and the needs you've shared.

I have attached the newsletter, “Harvests of Hope,” where I share more about my experiences in Brazil and Barbados.

Blessings in Jesus,

Kevlasha

Prayer Requests:

As you continue to support this mission, I would be so grateful for your prayers in the following areas:
  • Pray for the DTS Libras team (Brazil) as they are currently doing their outreach in South Africa and Mozambique until early November. Pray that they would have a deep understanding of the Holy Spirit’s guidance and that their ministry would be fruitful.
    • Pray for the Deaf leaders at Deaf House Barbados to fully reveal their identity in Christ, growing in confidence and boldness as they lead their community.

Pray for more people to come to Barbados to share the Gospel and continue planting seeds. Pray that more disciples would be made and that the impact would multiply across the island.
