Msg from Ron Lawer:
PRAYER REQUESTS for the ASL CBT Translation Team

PRAISES!
- We released our new translation of Jonah in early April, and a few translations teams in other countries are already using it as a source text for their own translations! Praise God that our work is helping other teams! If you haven’t seen our newly released Jonah yet, check it out on our website: https://www.deafharbor.org/tv/cbt/entry/8845/

- Praise God for great community checks in April! The feedback we got helped us to do revisions, and two of these passages were just approved last week by the translation consultant! They’re in the final editing stages now and should be ready to be released soon!

PRAY FOR OUR TEAM:

- Pray for our team as we continue working on translating drafts of new passages. We are doing a lot of new first drafts right now.

- Pray for our translation consultants, as they are under a heavy workload and have many tight deadlines to meet for our project this year.

- Our team needs to figure out temporary options for an office/studio for the rest of this year. Pray that God provides a location that is more convenient for all of us compared to the current place we are in.

- We will soon begin the process of putting together a translation committee, which will help more churches to get involved in supporting our work. Pray for God to bring the right people to serve on the committee.

PRAY FOR OTHER DEAF TRANSLATION TEAMS:

- The Nepali translation team is nearly finished with their first set of 32 CBT passages, but their completion and release date has been postponed from May to September due to the translation consultant not being available. Pray for them throughout this process.

- The Costa Rican translation team is currently scheduled to have consultant feedback and some final approvals in June. Pray for God’s strength and wisdom for them, as the final approvals are usually the most difficult part of the process.

- Pray for God to raise up more translation consultants who specialize in sign language translations.

- A translation consultant’s father recently passed away in an accident. Pray for comfort for the family.

Thank you for praying with us!
The ASL CBT Translation Team
Ron, RuthAnna, Tyler, Bobby, and Stuart
